Thursford Christmas Spectacular announces host for 2023 show!
Planning is well underway at Thursford, with the team preparing for the 46th production of Europe’s biggest Christmas show. With the steam museum now closed for the season, the venue is undergoing a huge restoration and installation project with a new state-of-the-art sound system being installed ready for the show in November. The site will soon be turned into its well-loved winter wonderland ready for on-site rehearsals to start in September.
LLOYD HOLLETT ANNOUNCED!
The show is known for its singing, dancing, and speciality acts, but also its host, who arguably has one of the biggest roles to play every night – keeping it all together. This year is no different with Lloyd Hollett – The Comedy Wordsmith being announced as this year’s compere and comedian.
Despite Thursford being the biggest challenge of his career, Lloyd is no stranger to productions of this size. For over 32 years he has been entertaining the world with his unique style of comedy, one in which has earned him high praise from the likes of Anton Du Beke, Gyles Brandreth and Jeremy Vine.
Lloyd has worked across 500 cruises, most recently launching Britain’s brand-new cruise line, Ambassador Ambience. But this year, after appearing in 25 pantomimes alongside TV’s Stephen Mulhern, Nigel Havers, Shelia Ferguson and Rita Simons, Lloyd is swapping pantoland for the Spectacular stage.

Lloyd Hollett brings his own unique and original style of comedy to the show, which will be a welcome addition to this year’s production.
Further details about the show are being kept under wraps, with audiences advised to secure their tickets sooner rather than later.
