Have you ever heard the phrase ‘He was born to be on the stage’?
It’s a phrase that could have been solely written for Lloyd Hollett.
From the moment he entered the world Lloyd has enjoyed entertaining.
Rumour has it, that even in his pram, the baby Lloyd was great at putting
on a show. Give him a rattle, a dummy or a teddy bear and he would give
you a ten minute routine. Now he fills theatres – then he filled nappies!!
Lloyd Hollett is undisputedly one of the UK’s top up and coming Comedians.
His own unique blend of Manic, Zany humour, is in high demand. Using his
unpredictable style of ‘madcap’ comedy and strong vocal attack, Lloyd now
plays regularly for many major Cruise Lines worldwide including The Thomson Spirit,
Destiny, Celebration, Emerald and Calypso. As well as The Sea Princess for
Princess Cruises, Norwegian Dream for NCL and the Prinsendam for Holland America.
2008 will also see Lloyd working the P&O Oceana and Fred Olsen Braemar as well.

When not at sea, Lloyd also finds time to keep on his own home ground,
and when not cruising, he tours night after night at many of the top venues
throughout Britain and Europe including; Butlins Minehead, Bognor Regis &
Skegness, The Grand Hotels Folkestone, Scarborough, Llandudno & Blackpool
and The Holiday Village’s in Turkey & Palma for First Choice Holidays…
to name but a few…

His one – man show has now proved more and more popular over the past five years.
Not only does he headline them, but he also writes, produces and directs the shows
himself. Past shows put on at The Theatre Royal Margate include:
‘An Audience With...'(1999), ‘Alive & Dangerous’ (2000), ‘For One Night Only’ (2002),
‘Live & Uplifting’ (2003) and most recently 'Mad & Manic' (2004),
which was filmed for DVD -

His act defies description – let’s just say he’s all over the place!
In the pursuance of his trade, he has endured injuries that have included
a twisted ankle, sprained back, inflamed lung, chipped nail, one deeply cut
chin and concussion. It is hoped that all future performances end with the
ringing of the audience’s applause in Lloyd’s ears as opposed to
that of an ambulance!
Many of our current stars gained experience through Holiday Parks, and this is now
one of the few practical ways of entry into show business. For Lloyd in 1999 the
holiday park provided him with just what he was looking for – a roof over his head
and a chance to perform on a regular basis. His natural unpredictable, cheeky but
loveable personality was a great asset in the twenty four hour schedule that
Holiday Park work demands. At last he had finally found a successful outlet for his
all round talent. After four successful seasons at a leading South West Coast
Holiday Park, he realised it was time to move on.
Early 2005 Lloyd’s versility was put to the test when he cracked the lucrative Cruise
Ship Circuit when he took on a six month contract taking on 2 major acting roles on
MV Thomson Spirit. Taking on the role of ‘Will Mossop’ in the classic
Comedy Play ‘Hobson’s Choice’ and the lead male role of ‘Tony’ in
‘West Side Story’- which were performed regularly throughout many exotic
places including Tenerife, Maderia, Lanzarote, Pompei, Portugal, Ibiza, Agadir,
Barcellona, Rome, Malta, Palma, Gibraltar, Sharm El Sheikh and Cairo.
Lloyd is no stranger to Pantomime either - his credits have include ‘Buttons’
in - Cinderella, The Granville Theatre, Ramsgate (1999), 'Wishee Washee’ in - Aladdin,
The Granville Theatre, Ramsgate (2000), ‘Silly Billy’ in - Mother Goose, Theatre Royal,
Margate (2002), 'Simple Simon’ in - Jack and the Beanstalk, Theatre Royal, Margate (2003),
'Idle Jack' in - Dick Whittington, The Gordon Craig Theatre, Stevenage (2006), and
'PC Pongo' in - Aladdin, The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury (2007) - where he starred
alongside Shaun Williamson (Eastenders & Extras), Stephen Mulhern (Ministry of Mayhem),
Hilary O'Neil and Dave Lee..
With numerous one-man shows, summer seasons, cruise ship guest act slots,
pantomimes and theatre credits under his belt, Lloyd Hollett continues to
establish himself as a rising Comedy Entertainer.
‘Lloyd Hollett is one of the most talented young comedians I know...warm,
genuinely funny and a great voice too. If he doesn’t crack the big time
there is no justice in this business we call show!’
